Many people are unaware that unlike any other gaming industry, bingo is taxed twice on its revenue. For example, bingo pays almost twice as much tax as betting shops. This double taxation places a cost burden on the bingo industry of £85 million per annum. As a result many clubs are now under threat of closure. This could include your local Mecca Bingo club.
